Organic & Natural Health Association submitted a petition to the FDA, requesting that the agency permit dietary supplements containing vitamin D to make a health claim concerning the association between vitamin D and a decreased risk of preterm births. The nutrition trade organization has asked the FDA to acknowledge numerous studies showing an association between higher serum vitamin D levels in pregnant women and a reduced risk of preterm births. Organic & Natural Health believes that such a claim will help raise awareness of preterm births, a risk factor for pregnant women, reduce the cost of health care associated with preterm births, and empower women to take affirmative steps for the health of their children.

So glad to see this for mother and babies…maybe someday we will get the FDA to recognize the importance of all people having vitamin D lab tests and education to get their D score at least to 40-60 ng/ml. I wrote a book on a personal story of horrible illness no doctor could help me with. I decided to research and put the pieces of the puzzle together and solved my unsolvable health crisis. Grassroots did a write up on my story: https://grassrootshealth.net/blog/fibromyalgia-catch-diseases/
My quick read book is sold on Amazon: “A Lifetime of Misdiagnosis: Triumph Over Illness” is a compelling story with implications for all modern humans. I have written to government at every level to ask them to make this a public health protocol for every American. The suffering it will save and the wealth of the Nation depends on this getting into preventive care a.s.a.p.
